Youth Equity at Work
Welcome to Youth Equity at Work (YEW), a European initiative dedicated to addressing the challenge of integrating NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) into the labor market. Despite significant efforts by the European Union, youth unemployment remains a pressing issue, with only a few countries managing to maintain rates below 10%. YEW is committed to building bridges between youth and employment sectors, focusing on the most vulnerable populations.
As part of the EU’s 2019-2027 strategy, YEW aims to foster inclusion through law, promoting equal opportunities for young people across the EU. By conducting a comparative study of national laws and agreements from the 27 EU member states, we develop non-partisan, transparent legal proposals aimed at improving youth employment. Our findings are shared in a White Paper, which is distributed to both national and European institutions, including the European Parliament.
Our key objectives include:
- Supporting NEETs in finding employment
- Enhancing national youth employment laws through evidence-based research
- Bridging the gap between policy, research, and practice across Europe
Join us in transforming the future of youth employment through inclusive, innovative, and unified legal frameworks.
